Pearl will be remembered as a feisty, direct, and unfiltered woman who always spoke her mind, and had a big heart!
A proud mother of Denise Johnson, Eugene Boyd, Jermaine Jamison, Schevon Lartigue, Tossy Dean, and Lonnie Jamison Jr. A loving grandmother to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She attended Bakersfield High School and worked at Mansvill Warehouse for many years.
Pearl was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her son Eugene (Nu Nu) Boyd, her close sister Virginia Cato, and her siblings Cornelius Wilkins, Lillie Faye Williams, Mildred Sympkin, Duke Sympkin, Willie Gene Sympkin, and James Boyd.
Pearl is survived by her children Denise (Craig) Johnson, Jermaine (Natasha)Jamison, Schevon Lartigue, Tossy Dean, and Lonnie (Precious) Jamison Jr., and by her sisters Dorothy Guess and Mary Alice Boyd. Her nieces Mary Williams, and Annie Williams, nephew Roy Johnson, and first-born grandchild Jennifer (Jae) Jackson.
Pearl enjoyed being around people and would do anything for you if you called on her. She was known for giving good advice even if you didn't want to hear it. You could often find Pearl sitting in her recliner in the living-room watching tv shows in the dark. Pearl loved to dance and go bowling in her younger years, and she loved to gamble and play cards. She also loved church, especially her Wednesday outings to visit the sick.
"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
