You have been in heaven for two years now. Not a day has passed that I haven't thought of you and shed tears or smiled or laughed or marveled at you. You were so many things to me son. Sweet- Smart- Funny- Tender- Insightful. The list of your attributes goes on. But you were my son, and I miss you so much darling. You were always so independent that I sorta got used to not seeing you for sometimes weeks. But this has been the hardest two years of my entire life son. Oh if The Lord God would give do overs, there's only one thing I would ask. I would ask for my boys to be tots again, To know then what I know now. I am so sorry for so many things. You were filled with Grace too. God gives us grace. You were the kindest most graceful person I've known. And it was a natural function to you. The world tried to rob you of that kindness and grace and it just couldn't be done. You didn't know it but God had planted those things in you. Because you are His son before you are mine. I believe HE rescued you that night. There you are with Jesus, happy no hurt I'll be seeing you someday soon. I love you Always Always Always

You would sooth me with gentle melody of your guitar when I was not feeling well. I miss the attention. But you are gone now. I have had to say goodbye to my child. Today is one one of those days that I felt the urge to go through all our things that we had boxed in my moms garage. Every single item, (even the junk) brings some certain memory to my mind. I love touching things that I can remember a time I saw you touching or holding the same thing. In some weird way , it makes me feel like Im able to touch you by touching things you've touched. I feel like I wont be able to make it through today. I miss you. I  went to my moms @ 6 this morning. 80 mph the whole way there, because for some reason I felt like you were going to be there waiting for me. My Dear Son,
   I have just been reminiscing on you as a youngster. Playing 'flag football '. You really hated it..I think you only played to please me, right baby boy? ( team sports were not your thing) 
You were just bored by it.. It is amusing now..sort of..
If I close my eyes I can see you walking across the field, the grass is green, it is so very hot and muggy. An occasional swarm of gnats and other bugs that bite. There you are... One two three steps. At almost 13 your stride is already pretty long. Then you turn and look at me. And that's it, that is all I remember about that day. 
But I savor it, I hold onto every second I can with you my beautiful child.

I love you ! I miss you so much, and it never stops hurting! Our son is Two now! I believe that he hasn't nor will he ever forget who his daddy is. How could he ? Not one day has passed that he hasn't heard a video with your voice or watched  videos of the two of you together not to mention all your pictures that fill our house, including his room. No matter where we are if he sees a picture of you he says "Daddy." Every time he sees a candle he will pick it up and bring it to me and say "for daddy mama?" You would be so proud of him and how big he is getting. I would do anything in the world to be able to have you still right here with me and our son, but i know we will all be together again one day, and we will never be apart again. A couple of days ago I laid eyes on a tanned young man pushing a board down the sidewalk. This isn't an unusual sight but this young man was wearing tan Dickie shorts and a very white half sleeve tee shirt, and a black cap, on backwards. If anyone knows u son they would know why this would give me such an emotional response .

It's Valentines Day. Oh how I remember the Valentines Days of you and your siblings. I get so choked up when I picture you with your little hands, addressing cards to your classmates. Even then you cared about everyone. And you were liked by all in your class. Then coming home with your bag of sweetheart cards from your friends. You really liked Ninja Turtles and Super heroes. Baby Boy You were a Super Hero here on this earth. Not just to me but to all your family, and so many others too. It is so hard now that you are gone. Watching the video of my sons short life is so painful. I love him so much.. I know You all do too. I just am messed up again. I wish I could go back and have my babies all over again.

It has been nine months since Caleb was taken. This grief is the hardest thing I have ever been through. Day after day..And day after another day. I am thankful Caleb left us all with many happy memories. Not as many as we want for sure...But I guess when God called him- Caleb answered him quickly this time. I MISS YOU CALEB
