Bill was born Sept. 12,1930 in Stigler, Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl. His mother, father and 3 brothers migrated to Californiain the 1940's. In 1950 he married his life-long sweetheart, Eunice Carrol Guenther enjoying 62 years of Marriage and 6 children. Bill joined the Navy during the Korean Conflict in 1952. He worked as a Milkman for Wayne's Dairy before owning two Mobil Gas Stations, but became well known as a Master Craftsman, highly respected for building hundreds of Custom Homes in Bakersfield. He loved his family, Corny Jokes and Ice Cream. No matter what he did, he did it with all his might and his whole heart. Bill was a man of strong faith, building two churches, Fruitvale Community Church and The Children's Church for the kids in his neighborhood. He started 'Christian Services' that provided food and supplies to Mission Organizations. In serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ he taught Sunday school, drove the church bus, spent endless summers at Christian Camps, sang in the choir, and wore out dozens of bibles that he read from everyday and all with great delight. Bill went to be with his Lord Sunday Feb 5th after a 10 year illness with Alzheimer's. The Family would like to thank Hoffman's Hospice and numerous other family members and friends for their support. Bill is preceded in death by his brothers Curt and Jack, his son Russell and daughter Marian. He is survived by his wife Eunice, sons Kyle and wife Kim, Chase, Christian, his daughter Lori and husband Don, grandchildren Meredith, Megan, Morgan, Lauren, Madison and Casey, 6 great grandchildren and his brother Micky.
