

Yvonne D. Lancaster passed away peacefully early in the morning of March 19, 2012. She is survived by three loving sons and their wives: Phil and Brenda; Rod and Luann; and Paul and Terri. Also, her adoring grandchildren: Taylor; Trevor; Jason and Heather; Stuart and Theresa; Kent; Clay; Addie and Tom Collins; Lee and Scott Fitch; Melinda and Craig Mills; Steven and Shani; and Christine and Tommy Henderson. She has 10 great grandchildren: Ethan and Reese; Cole; Nadine; Cade; Katelyn, Joshua, and Brookelyn; Moriah and Madeline. She is also survived by her loving sister Georgia Marie (Iodine) and Bob Hoppe.
Yvonne was the loving wife of Woodrow for fifty-one years. She married John Lynch several years after Woodrow's death. John passed away prior to their first anniversary. Her three brothers, Theodore, Orville and James predeceased her.
Yvonne was an outstanding teacher for the Fruitvale School District for twenty years. Following her retirement, her greatest joy was traveling the world with Woodrow, her sons and their families, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and was also an accomplished seamstress. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ for over sixty years.
Viewing will be held at Mish Funeral Home in Oildale from 9 AM - 1 PM on Friday, March 23rd, with graveside services at 2 PM at the Shafter Cemetery.
