

"One of the greatest joys in her life was her family," said Katie Glemza, her granddaughter. "Even when things got hard, she had a smile on her face and nothing but joy in her heart."
Cecelia Cook was born in Baltimore. After graduating from Dundalk High School in 1952, she married electrician Joseph Blumberg.
While growing up, Mrs. Blumberg enjoyed gardening and reading. She always kept a close relationship with her siblings. A dedicated homemaker, she raised five children off Shipway.
She loved vacationing in Ocean City and New Jersey. During the summers, she never missed Dundalk's Independence Day festivities. She always made sure chairs were set up behind her house so her family could enjoy the Dundalk Heritage Parade.
Mrs. Blumberg's grandchildren said they loved their grandmother's creative spirit.
"I could ask her for help about anything," said Sara Blumberg, her granddaughter. "No matter what it was, she always had the answer and a great story to go with it."
She is the devoted wife of the late Joseph Anthony Blumberg, Sr.; dear mother of Joseph Blumberg, Jr. and his wife Anne , Sharon Palmer and her husband Bruce , Michael Blumberg and his wife Janet, Diane Romano ,Robert Blumberg and his wife Jennifer; cherished Mom Moms to Carol Myers, Sara Blumberg, Megan Pitt, Katie Glemza, Michael Romano, Lucy Blumberg, Darcy Blumberg, Brianna Palmer; great grandmother of Matilda, Josephine, Cecelia, Edward and Sterling sister of Helen, Frank, Marcella, Charles, Eddie and the late Edwina, Lottie, Walter and Stanley.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Burgee Henss Seitz Funeral Home, Inc., 3631 Falls Road, on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9, where funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am. Interment Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
