Very sad to hear the news of Darlene's passing today. She was our first neighbor in Hampden, she was a beautiful soul inside and out. We will miss her and think of her often. Our love to the entire family and especially Kelly. We will keep you close in heart and mind.

Goodbye to my dearest friend, Darlene. I will miss her bright smile. The one she took everywhere with her.

We were the most unlikely of friends. But friends we became. And I thank the Lord for that. Otherwise......I would have missed the dance.

I've come to realize my first message actually did post, but I wrote another one which was pretty similar. Sorry for the double post, folks.

Although your death was inevitable, it still hurts us all. I'm sure for a lot of folks haven't realized you're *actually* gone; I'm probably one of those people. You were a key part in the whole family, and nothing will ever be the same without you. You'll always be remembered in the traditions. I know you would rather be where you are now rather than hooked up to pumps in the hospital. For that, we're all grateful. I hope you and Pop (or Jimmy...) are having fun at the bar. We love you, Mom-Mom!
