Elizabeth June Possidente "Betty"

Betty was a kind, giving, and caring soul whose heart overflowed with love for everyone around her. She dedicated her life to taking care of others — not only her family, but anyone who needed a helping hand or a listening ear. Her warmth and compassion touched countless lives, and her gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, Betty’s greatest joy came from her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, always putting them first and making sure they felt loved, supported, and cared for.

Betty found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing the slots, going on cruises, and getting lost in a good Danielle Steel novel. She loved watching hummingbirds flutter outside her cabin in West Virginia — a place that brought her peace and joy — and she had a fondness for roosters that always brought a smile to her face.

She lived with grace, humor, and an open heart. Betty will be remembered as a woman who gave endlessly, loved deeply, and lived simply. Her kindness will remain a guiding light for her family and friends, and her memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Betty is the beloved wife of 52 years of John Possidente, Jr.; devoted mother of John Possidente, III., Troy Norris, Michael Possidente, Terry Norris, Sr., and his wife Cathie, and Angela McNicholas and her husband John; cherished grandmother of Terry Norris, Jr., Amanda Proffitt and her husband Austin, Brandon Norris, Kyle Norris, John McNicholas, Jr., and Matthew McNicholas; great grandmother of Shad Proffitt; dear sister of the late Gene Black, Gus Black, Paul Black, Helen Houser, Dorothy Poe and Patsy Black.

Betty is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Burgee-Henss-Seitz Funeral Home, 3631 Falls Road Baltimore, Maryland, on November 7, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm, where Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 am.

Private interment at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery at a later date.
