Florence Marie Horan

Florence Marie Horan passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on August 11, 2025, in Baltimore, MD; she was a woman who cared deeply for her friends and was liked by everyone she met. An avid quilter, she poured love and care into every stitch, creating sweet quilts for her family. A devoted Nana, Florence found great joy in her grandchildren, showering them with love, laughter, and support. She had a passion for travel, embracing new places and cultures with an open heart. Wherever Florence went, she found — or created — a community, making lasting connections and friendships that spanned many years. Her kindness, generosity, and genuine interest in others left a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She is survived by her children Barbara Lee Horan, Mark Joseph Horan, and Deborah Marie Burnett and her husband Roger Dale; her grandchildren Sean Thomas Burnett, Casey Brent Burnett and his wife Julianna Catherine, Morgan Pierce Burnett and his wife Rebecca Lynn. Shafer Dale Burnett, and Jaime Marie Meininger and her husband Andrew Richard; her great-grandchildren Oswin Pierce Burnett and Isla Lynn Burnett; and many nieces and nephews. Florence has been preceded in death by her beloved husband F. Joseph Horan and her siblings Angela, Molly, Anne, Steve, and Frank.

A gathering will be held on Saturday August 16th at The Villages at Augsburg, 6825 Campfield Rd, Baltimore, MD 21207 from 10-11 am, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. In lieu of flowers consider donating in Florences name to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 101 Church Ln, Pikesville, MD 21208.
