Gilbert Preston Shaffer Sr., age 89, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Gilbert was born April 20, 1932. He is the beloved husband of the late Shirley Shaffer ; devoted father of

William Sneckenberger Jr. and his wife Patricia , Kevin Shaffer and the late Mark Shaffer, Gilbert Shaffer Jr., Sharon Mechalske; cherished grandfather of Summer Kim, Katelin Sneckenberger, Justin Mechalske, Christopher Shaffer, Corey Mechalske; great grandfather of Ava and Ryan Kim, Harrison and Lucas Mechalske, Aislyn and Emersyn Shaffer; dear brother of Ronnie Shaffer, Janet Jackson, Linda Ridenour, Kenny Shaffer, and the late Doris Shaffer, Nancy Sekinger.

A visitation for Gilbert will be held Monday, August 16, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Burgee-Henss-Seitz Funeral Home Inc., 3631 Falls Rd, Baltimore, Maryland 21211. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM.

Interment, Good Shepherd Cemetery, 2508 Rodgers Avenue, Elicott City, Maryland 21043.
