

Howard Mack Jr., born on July 2, 1955, in Florence, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, after a lengthy illness. He left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. A devoted husband, loving family member, and loyal friend, Howard was known for his generous spirit, gentle nature, and the joy he brought to every room he entered.
Howard married the love of his life, Jacqueline (Jackie) Dennise Mack, on June 19, 2004. He cherished time with his wife, family, and especially his grandchildren. He shared freely with those around him, imparting wisdom, always offering support, and offering a listening ear, which created memories that will be treasured forever. Howard will be missed for his warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering integrity, which touched everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Howard had a passion for living life to the fullest. He enjoyed Bud Light and having that solitude time of watching nature's outdoor beauty, poetry, watching his favorite football team, “Washington Commanders aka Washington Redskins”, fishing, cooking (cookouts), watching movies, listening to music, and collecting an assortment of pocketknives.
Howard was preceded in death by several family members and is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and many friends and relatives, who will remember his warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones, a lasting reminder of the joy and compassion that defined his life.
A memorial gathering for Howard will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 1-2 p.m., at Charles S. Zeiler & Son Inc., 6224 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, Maryland 21224, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
