On Sunday, July 13, 2025, Lisa Regina Haney-Dean suddenly passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick Joseph Dean; loving mother of Jacob Florentino Mejia, Matthew Lee Mejia, and her adopted son Eric “Puggy” Anderson; dear sister of Denise James, Vera Wolf, Rita Cronhardt, Arthur Harper, Mary Harper-Smith, Jennie Adams and was predeceased by her other siblings Victor Haney, James Durika, Jr. and her parents Walter Rutters and Faye Elizabeth Haney. Lisa is also survived by her best friend Janice Sharpella and her two sweet dogs Raven and Jack.
Lisa had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found soaking up the sunshine, especially when butterflies were around or when she spotted her favorite flowers—sunflowers and red roses. She loved being in nature and spending time with her family at cookouts, where there was always laughter, music, and good food. Music was a big part of her life—she listened to everything from Elvis and Bon Jovi to Christina Aguilera and David Phelps, and she never passed up a chance to sing her heart out at karaoke. Lisa was a true Marylander at heart who loved picking crabs, even after she became allergic, and always had a cup of coffee nearby. A diehard Baltimore Ravens fan, she cheered for her team with pride any chance she got. More than anything, she was a devoted mother, a loving sister, a best friend and someone who brought warmth, humor, and love wherever she went.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Burgee Henss Seitz Funeral Home, Inc., 3631 Falls Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21211 on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 3-5 pm & 7-9 pm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held during the 7-9 pm visitation.
Interment is private.
