Born as Makaro Dite Aminata Konate in Mali, West Africa, Mimi was a woman of deep faith, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She carried the rich traditions of her homeland with her throughout her life and found great joy in listening to both Christian music and the beautiful music of Mali, which always kept her connected to her roots.
Mimi was the beloved wife of Robert James Parker and a devoted mother to Robert I. Parker and Francis Y. Parker. She was also a loving stepmother to David Springfield and Ricky Parker, embracing her family with warmth, compassion, and unconditional love.
She was the cherished daughter of Gabrielle Coulibaly and the late Yacouba Konate. Mimi also leaves behind her loving siblings, Amadou Konate, Simpara Tenimba Konate, and Bakary Potter, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Mimi had a joyful spirit and appreciated the beauty of God's creation. She loved traveling, relaxing at the beach, and taking peaceful walks through the woods. Whether listening to music, spending time with those she loved, or simply enjoying the outdoors, she found happiness in life's simple blessings.
Above all else, Mimi loved God and her family. Her faith guided her life, and her gentle heart, caring nature, and beautiful smile touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that Mimi's love will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life gathering will take place on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 12-2pm at Burgee-Henss-Seitz Funeral Home, 3631 Falls Road Baltimore Maryland.
