Mary Jane (Harding) Prevatt

Mary was the cherished daughter of Loretta Sisler Harding and Willard Harding. She grew up in Dundalk and was proud to be a member of the first graduating class of Patapsco High School to spend all years at the school.

Following high school, Mary began her career with the National Security Agency (NSA). After marrying the love of her life, Gary Prevatt, she chose to dedicate herself to raising their family. Later, she worked for JCPenney until her retirement.

Mary found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She especially loved vacations to Ocean City, Maryland, enjoying Maryland blue crabs seasoned with Old Bay, visiting Disney World, traveling, and creating lasting memories with her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than celebrating the accomplishments and milestones of her children and grandchildren. Her greatest gift was the unconditional love she gave to her family every single day.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Loretta and Willard Harding, and by her beloved daughter, Jaime Greer (Prevatt).

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Gary Prevatt; her daughter, Heather Hollenbeck (Prevatt), and son-in-law, David Hollenbeck; her cherished grandchildren, Austin Hollenbeck, Cora Hollenbeck, and Kacy Greer; her sister, Joan Cuzzart (Harding), and brother-in-law, Bill Cuzzart; her nephew, Brad Cuzzart; her niece, Melissa Boyce (Cuzzart), and her husband, Kevin Boyce; and her great-nephews, Jaelin Boyce, Grant Boyce, and Doc Boyce, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Rd, Baltimore, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Epilepsy Foundation of America, causes that were meaningful to her and her family.

Mary loved deeply, lived selflessly, and gave all her heart to her family every single day. Her kindness, warmth, unwavering devotion, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
