I just found out that Merrill passed away I went to school with Merrill PS #55 he was a great friend I haven't seen Merrill in many years it looks as though he had a wonderful life I know that he came from a good family I remember when his dad had his tar roofing company they lived on Keswick Road. RIP my friend

Merrill is my cousin and  and I met him a few times  I am sorry for my cousin family may him and my brothers Melvin jr and Larry sr be together again with their dads and other family members in heaven I am sorry for his family Kelly told me that he passed and I am sadden for his wife and my second cousins may you all find comfort and peace with Jesus Christ 

Merrill was a salt of the earth all around good guy. Je had a great sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. We have lost a good man and will miss him. 

I first met Merrill (Moe to me) in late 2008, when I was in the midst of purchasing a house that needed complete renovation.   He was referred to me by our common buddy Alvin Jones, an electrician in Hampden.   
As an architect, I have pretty high standards, and wasn't expecting much.....  Well, of course, after our first meeting, I knew I had found a very special person, someone who really cared about his work, and for the next 8 years, we were great friends and colleagues.   Moe renovated my house to my exacting details.   He was a perfectionist, Like me.   So we had a common bond that was just so great!   Over the years, I shared Moe's talent with my clients, (Charlotte, and Bob, and Virginia) and of course, everyone loved him.    He was a character!  We all loved having him work for us, but it was more than that.   Moe was just a fabulous person.   Funny.  Salt of the Earth.  Reliable.  Honest. Caring.  Great Family Man.   But most of all, he was a great friend to all of us who knew him.  The kind of guy who would drop everything to come help you, if you needed help.   Miss you, buddy!   There will NEVER be another Moe Bittner!!!

I was fortunate enough to have Merrill renovate my basement and put in a new kitchen for me. He showed up every single day on time with a smile on his face. He would be carrying a banana for his snack and treats for my dog. He did it all- the demolition, the drywall, the carpentry, the plumbing, and electric. He took such pride in his work and made the whole process easy and fun. He even walked my dog,Lucy for me. He and my dog had a special bond. Merrill loved people, animals, trees, houses, and most of all his family. He will be very missed.

I am truly sorry for your loss.. May God comfort you at this time. Sad that people come and go so quickly. Hold them tight, let them know you love them. I deeply am sorry and hope that your faith will help you all through this. Hugs and Love to all.
