I remember Mike and Ronnie from many, many years ago and haven't seen them in years. But I went to Sully's a few years ago and he instantly recognized me and had the widest smile. I'm sure he left this world with the same smile because Our Lord was holding his hand.

Our hearts go out to all of you. Mike was a friend, one of the "B'lair Road Boys" and worked with us in our furniture business in the 80's. He showed us all a thing or two about hustling for your customer. He had a great work ethic and upbeat attitude. We'll miss you, Sully. Doug & "Jake"

I recall coming into you place of Business and hearing you say. " Did you work hard today buddy or did you hardly work." We both would just laugh at my respond.( you know what that would be). I just want you to know you will be missed. Over Twenty Five years ago when My family moved into that area of Berger Ave, While the others would just look and would not speak. You as being the MAN you were never seen the color of my skin. Instead you found out who I was as a person. You would always speak and take the time to hold a conversation. I am so hurt that this had to happen to you. Please take your rest and what I know about You and how you helped the community, I am sure you are now resting with the ANGLES.

Aunt Margie, Darlene, Ronnie, and Sharon,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. I have read the many condolences others have left. We all knew what a kind loving person Mike was, but it is nice to see others thought so as well.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
Mike I know you are in good hands and have joined your Dad and numerous family members. I will miss you my dear cousin. Rest in peace.
With Love and heartfelt Sympathy,

While it's been a long time since I've seen you (Sharon, Darlene, Ronnie, and, of course, Mike), you're in many of my fond memories of Arizona Avenue life. You've always been a great family and my heart breaks at this tremendous loss. I think back now and remember times I should have just stopped the car and gone in and said, "Hi Mike--remember me" but didn't. Mike's death is just one more reminder to us all to make time for those stops. I and all of the Slemp family -- Rob, Bill, Wes, Jason, Chris, and our mom and dad (from above), send our very sincere sympathy. God bless you all.

I met Mike in 1990, while playing softball together for J.T.'s Saloon, on Belair Rd. I would regularly take my children with me to pick-up some crabs from "Sully", and he would take time to laugh and joke with them. Also, Mike would always throw-in a "few extra", for his friends. He was a great guy and I pray that justice will be SERVED! May The Lord welcome you with open arms, as I know he will. Pat Downey
