

Nancy Ann Railton (nee Nystrom), age 86, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on November 3, 2025. She was the devoted daughter of the late Harold C. and Ruth G. Nystrom; loving mother of Scott Railton and his wife Deborah, and Anne Railton-Andrews and her husband John; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Andrews; dear sister of Erik Nystrom and his wife Susan; beloved aunt of Tom, Peter, and Erikson Nystrom. Also survived by her beloved church family at 2nd Presbyterian Church (Baltimore, MD).
Nancy spent her career working for the United States Government. She started in the CIA, and when she moved to Baltimore, she finished her career with the Department of the Transportation.
Nancy spent much of her time volunteering at church after she retired, and spending time with her dear friend Joyce Zimmerman who worked at the church. It was her great delight when asked to be a reader at church. She graduated from the University of Washington where she was treasurer of the senior class, Beta Rho Tau and Gamma Alpha Chi honoraries. She loved the Orioles and Ravens and would watch or listen to all their games. Her favorite restaurant in Baltimore was Pappas, where she always wanted to eat with her dear friends, Frank Stout and Mary Cox, as well as her daughter’s family.
Family and friends are invited to a committal service, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 1 P.M., at Parklawn Cemetery, located at 12800 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20853.
