Nellie May Pugh

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Nellie May Pugh (nee Brown) passed peacefully surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Arthur W. Pugh, Sr. for 63 years; loving mom of Arthur W. Pugh, Jr. and his late wife Sue, Irene Mitzel and her husband Dave, and Richard Pugh and his wife Colleen; devoted grandmom of Artie, Brian, Joey, Corey, Steven, Ashley, Amanda, Matthew, Meagan and Olivia; great grandmom of 10 and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Nellie is also survived by her sisters Gloria Brown and JoAnne Gilson, her sister-in-law Terry Brown and was preceded in death by her other 5 siblings, Joseph Brown, Betty Ranocchia, Rose Fisher, Hugh Brown, and Walter Brown along with her parents Rose and Joseph Brown. She is also survived by many other extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Burgee Henss Seitz Funeral Home, Inc., 3631 Falls Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21211, on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 11 am until 12:30 pm at which time a Celebration of Nellie’s Life will begin.

Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784.
