I worked with Oz for about 10 years.  He was industrial hygiene and I was safety.two disciplines that clash in the Army but we managed to close that gap

Ive thought of him a lot lately

We didnt socialize away from work but we were close.

We worked together a lotat the home office and abroad...traveled together from as far as Guam (ironically where my wife was born)  to as close as a suburb in Washington, DC.

We figured out field problems together.CO monitoring of an explosive operation..testing airflow from containment tents

He worked with who is now my wife before she and I met..he even had a name for her carthe Char Car.it was Dodge Stealth.

Sometimes, in the realm of family and parenting, he was my Prof (or Prophet) from the Burke series.he told me that if you buy a house, make sure everyone has their own space..Ive since retained and taken that advice to great success..

There are things that will ALWAYs remind me of him.

I was so saddened to hear of Ozzie's passing. I didn't know this until I read the "In Memorium" sheets at our 50th. class reunion of the Technical High School class of 1965 last night. I was a neighbor of "Butch" back in 1952 and went through Grade School and High School with him. I was looking forward to seeing him last night so imagine my surprise and sadness.. Rest In Peace Ozzie.

RIP Brother OZZIE  I enjoyed the short time I had working with you at APG. May the angels hold you in their wings and sore high into the sky, until we meet again my friend.  God bless  Jay

So sad to hear of Ozzie's passing. A number of us were recalling wonderful stories of Ozzie today in the office. He was truly a remarkable person and all of us that knew him were changed for the better. Rest in peace my friend. And God bless you and the family Melody

Please accept my condolences.  My heart goes out to Melodye and all of his family.  Ozzie was dedicated to his family and work and I will always be grateful for the help, both personally and professionally, that he gave me.  We should all strive to be such a great "productive member of society" as he was and often said.

We are deeply saddened to hear of our loss.  Os was such a special person.  We loved working with him and feel blessed to have known him.  You and your family are in our prayers.
