

Born on July 17, 1947, in Herminie, Pa. Patrick grew up the third son of John and Mary Bourke and the brother of Edward, Thomas, John and James. He loved playing football for Sewickley Area H.S., singing and dancing. He served in the U.S. Army and went to Vietnam in 1968. His was awarded the Bronze Star for his service with MACV in Vietnam. Upon returning from the war, he attended Kent State University and the University of Maryland. Most of his work life he was a mechanical designer. He worked on projects with the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt MD. He was especially proud of his work designing parts for the Hubble Space Telescope. Besides his technical career, Patrick (aka Stoney) was a rock musician in the Washington and Baltimore music scene. He had a recording track and played live gigs for about 30 years. He had a great stage presence, many fans, and the girls loved him.
Patrick is survived by his two children, Steffanie Gwen and Ryan Bourke. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas and John.
Patrick will be buried in the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, Maryland, 21117.
