Sophia Stamidis

On May 4, 2025, Sophia Stamidis passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of the late Anastasios Stamidis; devoted mother of Prodomos Stamidis, his wife Ekaterini, Christodoulos Stamidis, Fourmuzis Stamidis, his wife Gefsi, and Stergios Stamidis, his wife Fotini; loving grandmother of Big Sophia, her husband Charlie, Little Sophia, Anastasios “Saki”, his wife Angela, Anastasios “Mark”, his wife Kathy, Anastasios “Taso”, Chrisoula “Chrissy”, Elias, Dimitris, his wife Maria; cherished great grandmother of Prodomos, Nico, Katerina, Aliki, Christian, Eliana, Dimitris (James) and Stelios; dear sister of the late Marika and George.

Relatives and friends can gather at Charles S. Zeiler and Son Funeral Home, 6224 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224 on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 3-5 PM and 6-9 PM. Sophia will lie-in-state at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 520 Ponca St, Baltimore, MD 21224, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by the interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sophia's memory may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 520 Ponca St, Baltimore, MD 21224.
