Mr. Buddy Kubrak

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bohdan (Buddy) Kubrak on February 16, 2023 at the age of 81. Buddy was born to Petreo (Peter) and Emilia Kubrak on August 30, 1941 in Lviv, Ukraine. The first few years of Buddy’s life were spent overseas until they immigrated to Canada in December 1949 with the help of the Marchuk Family. Once arriving in Canada they had moved around many times throughout the years while Buddy was younger following the Railroad for work. In 1960 the Kubrak family finally found a home , settling in the town of Barrhead. Buddy met the love of his life Beverly in 1962 and were married 3 years later, they started their family and were blessed with three children. Buddy was a jack of all trades and a man of many talents. Anytime anyone needed help he was always there to lend a hand.

Buddy’s family was his pride and joy and will be missed by his wife of 57 years; Beverly, his three children; Monica (Dean) Samis, Lance (Marnie) Kubrak, Korena (Scott) Kubrak, Grandchildren; Jessica (Justin), Amy, Angie, Blake, Tanner, Tatianna & Mitchell, Great Grandchildren; Mason and Emilia. Buddy is predeceased by his parents Petreo and Emilia Kubrak.

The Family would like to extend thanks and gratitude for all of the care and compassion provided from the EMTs of Barrhead, his family doctor; Dr.de Waal along with the Emergency Staff at the Barrhead Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 20, 2023 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Memorial donations may be made to Barrhead Healthcare Centre or Charity of Choice.
