Elsie Schulz

Born January 26, 1932

Elsie Schulz graduated to her heavenly home suddenly on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She now lives on with her husband of 40 years, David Schulz and her parents, Adelgunda and Henry Henschel. Elsie was born in Barrhead January 26, 1932 and was raised in a loving farm family with her brother, Harry Henschel. She grew up with a passion for horses, reading, politics and a love for her lord, Jesus, who she brought into every conversation with her family. She loved her work as a nursing trainee in the Barrhead hospital, but was convinced by her sweetheart, David, to get married and stay home to raise a family. They lived on a farm 5 km west of Barrhead for 6 years, then Barrhead for another 25 before retiring back to the farm they both loved in 1985. She leaves to mourn her loss Ruth and Wayne Bohn (Timothy and Jeremy), Karen and Roland Facette (Amanda and Bernie Zacharias, Hudson and Sophie, Blair and Lindsay Facette), Brian and Lois Schulz (Gina), Marilyn and Martin Engler (Jessica Golom, Luca and Elliot, Amy and Chris Wilson, Hannah Engler, Kadi Engler and Tanner Mouallem, Jack, Jon Engler), Lori and Omer Sagbo (Azalea) and her brother, Harry Henschel and numerous nephews and nieces and their families, whom she loved. She instilled in her children and grandchildren a love for the bible and a faith in Jesus. We will miss her but rejoice in having had her in our lives for over 85 years and knowing she is reunited with our dad. Funeral Service was held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2017 from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Barrhead. Memorial Donations can be made to Gideons International in Canada.Arrangements under the direction of Rose Garden Chapel, Barrhead, AB.

As I was saying to Ruth in a FB message, "Thinking of all of you. Your mom's funeral was such a beautiful story of your mom's love, faith, beauty inside and out, family . . . Thanks to all of you for sharing her story and inviting us all to celebrate her life. May God continue to bless and comfort you." Brian, I also told Ruth that I'd have given you more than 68% for the wonderful eulogy you presented. Thanks.

I also wish to give our regrets for not staying for the lunch. Hank hasn't been feeling well lately and we decided it was best for us to head home. Under normal circumstances, we would have loved to visit with Elsie's family and friends.
