Hailey Dawn Kuhn of Edmonton, AB passed away on Saturday May 11, 2024 at the age of 27 years. Hailey was born in Barrhead, AB on January 5, 1997, and was a truly beautiful and free spirited soul with a gorgeous, unforgettable smile that lit up the room. If you had the pleasure of meeting her you surely would not forget the thoughtful, genuine and kind hearted person full of adventure that she was or what a joy she was to be around. Her great love for art and music was freely shared for everyone to appreciate through her drawing, painting and crafting skills and her passion for singing and dancing. She had a lovely voice and wonderfully creative mind, always seeing the beauty in everything the world showed her on her journey through life.
Hailey enjoyed farm life very much and was always off on an adventure on the family farm and had a love for animals, especially horses and cats. Hailey enjoyed going on road trips and camping with her mom and brothers with a great fondness for the mountains.
Hailey had graduated from high school in Spruce Grove and had been pursuing a career in social work and addiction counselling that would allow her to help others who struggled with mental health and addiction and had a great interest in psychology and the workings of the mind. She had a calm, soothing nature and was patient, considerate, kind and compassionate with a desire to make the world a better place for all.
Hailey leaves behind her mother Tracy Kuhn and three younger brothers, Tyson, Parker and Zakkary of Spruce Grove, AB and her grandparents Douglas and Kathleen Kuhn of Barrhead, AB, along with her uncle Kevin (Christian), aunts Pamela (Joe) and Wendy (Mike) and their children as well.
People who were lucky enough to have met Hailey during her time with us would agree she was always so full of light, love and laughter that brought so much happiness to this world and stole a special place in many of our hearts without even trying.
This devastating loss of such an amazing young woman will affect many of us very heavily but we must look to hold on to those cherished moments we were blessed to have been able to share with her and carry these with us in our hearts as we continue to move forwardwithout her by our side.
A small service was held in Barrhead on Friday May 17, 2024 with her immediate familywhich is to be followed with the cremation of her worldly body as she had wished.
The family will be organising a celebration of life later in the summer and will announce thisonce they have had time to mourn the loss of such a beautiful part of their life.
You are so loved Hailey, forever, always and a day.
