It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Gilbertson, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, who passed away on March 18, 2025 at the age of 89. He leaves behind a legacy of strong family values, kindness, a love of learning and a joy of laughter. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean, children Karla Johnson (Jeff), Dona, Paul and Thor (Michelle Balen) and grandchildren Matthew Johnson (Mackenzie Frackleton), Nicole Johnson (Ethan Taveras), Luke and North. A memorial service will be held on March 26, 2025 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Barrhead, Alberta at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Harold Gilbertson’s memory.
