I worked with Hilda at Hillcrest. We had many laughs together, folded laundry and I enjoyed working with her. Later she moved to Hillcrest and we talked about the times we worked together and I enjoyed her company during our craft days and bus trips. Hilda loved to be busy, loved to visit, she will be missed.❤

Hilda had been our neighbour for 19 years. Because we shared the same faith Mr. Fischer and her became our good friends almost right away. We spent a lot of time together, especially after the passing of Mr. Fischer. We went to Christian Women's Club events, numerous concerts, and to The Mayerthrope Auxiliary Hospital to sing to the patients there. Hilda was always very welcoming, she loved to share her baking! She also made a lot of quilts for the needy and her neighbours! :) Such a kind hearted lady! I will miss her a lot. However, knowing that she is with her Lord Jesus, her beloved husband and her granddaughter Crystal, my heart is comforted

Our most sincere condolences 💕
Your mom was always so welcoming! As soon as one came into her home, the coffee was put on and the treats came out!
I have so many good memories of spending time in your home as I was growing up. I can still picture her riding her bike everywhere:)
She is now free from all suffering and pain... once again reunited with your Dad in the garden before the gates. I am sure they are your guardian Angels who will be by your side always.
They will be a whisper on the wind...
God gave us all a special and treasured gift...
Memories.
Whether they might bring a tear to your eyes or a smile to your face. Hold them close to your heart. They are yours to treasure always💕
Heartfelt hugs and prayers,
John & Patricia Mensink

I remember the first time I met Hilda was at Carlie and Reagan’s Highschool graduation. Carlie was moving with us to BC the very next day so although it was a happy occasion, I could see the pain in her eyes. She was so sweet and kind to us and I know how hard it was for her to see Carlie leave Alberta. As a grandmother myself now I can understand her pain so much more. She gave me a hug and with tears in her eyes asked me to watch over her little girl. I promised her I would. I was very blessed to have gotten to know her better over the many visits to the island. I loved her sense of humour and admired her for it. I knew her life hadn’t always been easy but she loved life and her family. I will miss her. ❤️
