Irmgard Schmidt

lrmgard Schmidt went to be with her Lord on December 1, 2017, at the age of 75.

lrmgard Schmidt was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Most of all we will miss the love she shared with those who were near to her.

lrmgard was born on May 29, 1942 in Neuhof, Poland; to Oswald and Olga Lentz. In time she journeyed to Canada where she met and married Richard Schmidt. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage together.

lrmgard cherished her relationship with her Lord and Savior, her husband, children, as well as extended family and friends. She leaves to mourn; her husband; Richard Schmidt, her daughter, Shirley (Manfred) Blum. Her sons; Arden (Maureen) Schmidt, Kevin (Rhonda) Schmidt, Jeffrey (Lee Anne) Schmidt, and Brother Sig Lentz. Twelve grandchildren; Greg (Julie) Blum, Tyler (Jessica) Blum, Janelle (Spencer) Hoyda, Kayla (Jayton) Sontag, Andrew (Jacolyn) Schmidt, Arlyn (Lorissa) Schmidt, Marlyse (Kris) Trufyn, Alana (Woodrow) Klassen, Parker (Jillian) Schmidt, Cokee Schmidt, Haven Schmidt and Hudson Schmidt. 11 great-grandchildren; Carson, Korie, Brooke, Ali, Hailey, Teryn, Zoey, Zara, Stella, Mckinley, Amittai and one on the way; as well as nephews and nieces.

Irmgard was predeceased by her parents; Oswald and Olga Lentz, Brother Alfred (age 3) and sister-in-law; Marg Lentz.

lrmgard maintained she had no regrets and soldiered on through the obstacles that cancer took her through. Despite this it succeeded in ending her life in this world but propelled her to her Heavenly home where she is now with her Lord and Saviour.

We would like to thank the staff at Barrhead Healthcare Centre for the exceptional care. As well as Friends and Family, for their encouragement and support.

A funeral service will be held at Bethel Pentecostal Church on Friday, December, 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Findlay officiating.
