Jorge Andreas VanderZyl

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our dear son and brother was promoted to eternal glory to be with his Saviour on Friday Aug. 8, 2014, at the age of 20 years. He leaves to mourn his loving parents: Kevin and Christina VanderZyl, his 11 siblings: Rebecca and Daniel Deboer, Flaura, Kurt, Daphne, Douglas, Wesley, Renauld, Margaret, Cedric, Timothy, Aiden, his grandparents: Andy

and Fettje Viersen, Walter and Betty VanderZyl, and Great Grandma Aaf VanderZyl, along with numerous Aunts and Uncles, and cousins. He also leaves to mourn many dear friends especially his brother-like friend Josh Vandongen. Jorge was predeceased by his younger brother Andrew in

Dec. 2010. We thank the Lord for his time among us and to have known him as a wonderful young man who loved his family and enjoyed his interaction with people here and also in Australia.

He worked in cabinetry and construction and spent time, baking, painting, drawing, reading, journaling, gardening, and farming. He was a creative person who endeavored to do his work to perfection.

We are comforted to know that he belongs to His Heavenly Father and though he was a sinner he was bought with the precious blood of his Savior and remains His in death as much as he was in life. His funeral will be held in the Christian Reformed Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug.15, 2014 with Rev. J. Louwerse officiating.
