Kay Helen Mayer

December 19, 1934 – December 31, 2011

Mrs. Kay Mayer, late of Cherhill, AB, formerly of Darwell, AB, passed away on December 31, 2011 at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her loving family; husband of 54 years, Vernon; six children, Barry (Pam) Mayer of Ottawa, ON, Les (Marie) Mayer of Westlock, AB, Tim (Wendy) Mayer of Edmonton, AB, Deb (Steve) Capiuk of Grande Prairie, AB, Stephen Mayer of Edmonton, AB, and Brenda (Dan) Capiuk of Barrhead, AB; eleven grandchildren, Maryn, Chloe, Matthew, Caitlin, Alanna, Jacob, Andrew, Christina, Kayla, Christopher, and Jason; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Austin and Asia; brother, Skip McDonald; and sister, Bettie Campbell; as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Kay is predeceased by her parents, Lyle and Overa McDonald; brothers Dale and Bud McDonald sister Lynne Masse and grandchild, Terry Capiuk. A memorial service was held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at Rose Garden Chapel with Rev. David Pype officiating.
