Louis John Dykstra, late of Barrhead, Alberta, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his loving family; 6 children; Janna (Rieks) DeVink, John† (Yvonne) Dykstra, Jerry (Sandra) Dykstra, Louis (Bonita) Dykstra, Gail (Jeff) Huber, Darren (Candace) Dykstra, 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, sisters; Joke Wierenga, Klaaske Bultena, Martha (Sietse) Stelpstra & Coby (Anne) Koopmans; as well as numerous other family and many dear friends.
Louis is predeceased by his wife, Tena; son; John Dykstra; parents, Geeske & Jan Dykstra; brother in laws, Jan Wierenga & Albert Bultena. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Rose Garden Chapel. Memorial Service to be held Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Barrhead Canadian Reformed Church with the Rev. C. Vanderlinde officiating. A private graveside service will be held at the Barrhead Cemetery. Donations gratefully accepted to a charity of one’s choice.
