Mom lived her life to the fullest, always involved in things or doing something. In her younger years this included sewing, baking, square dancing, Gardenview community events as well as mothering five children and supporting husband Allen keeping the farm running smoothly. In retirement it was bowling, floor curling, oil painting, bus tours and planning the next family get together. She loved having company drop in and was a master at cooking unprepared meals on short notice. Mom gave the best hugs and she shared them selflessly with her pride and joy, her family.
Maxine is survived by her loving children, Doug (Linda), Jeff (Teresa), Sharon (Wayne) Strochinski and Kim (Trevor) Nemeth. Grandchildren: Matthew (Lauren), Bobbie-Jo (Patrick), Curtis (Leslie), Erin (Darcy), Tia, Cherry, Dennis (Kayla), Jamie (Randall), Stacey (Chris), Travis (Taylor), Kaylene (Ryan) and Kyle (Darma). Great grandchildren: Brinley, Jake, Brier, Jacey, Camden, Dylan, Ryley, Dante, Samuel, Ava, Mia, Maddison, Carter, Hadlee, Bennett, and Noah. Predeceased by her husband Allen in 2004 and son Ken in 2021.
Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday August 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rose Garden Chapel, 5326-48th Street, Barrhead.
