Wilmer Rodney Thompson

On September 30, 2013 Mr. Wilmer (Bill) Thompson of Fort Assiniboine, AB passed away at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his loving family; wife of 58 years, Pauline (nee Johnson), 4 children: Leonard

(Marion) Thompson of Sylvan Lake, Danna (Gerry) Viel of Fort McMurray, Connie (Norman) Lefebvre of Lac La Nonne, Bill Thompson of Sylvan Lake; 6 grandchildren: Sarah, Angie, and Pat Viel; Lindsay Thompson; Krista Lefebvre; Dezirae Thompson; 2 brothers: Cameron (Frieda) Thompson, Kenneth Thompson; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Thompson, Ruth Hamilton; brothers-in-law: Leonard, Ralph and Winston Johnson, as well as numerous other family and many friends.

Bill is predeceased by parents: Willie and Ruth Thompson; brother:

Jim; sister: Ruth Marie; sisters-in-law: Beulah, Helen, Clara, Virginia and June Johnson, Kay Thompson; brothers-in-law: Bill Hamilton, Charlie and Gordon Johnson.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Mellowdale, AB with Rev. Reinhard Dittmer officiating. Donations gratefully accepted to The Ferry Point Historical Society or Christ Lutheran Building Fund.
