Janet (Jane) Fite Williams born on October 18, 1931 to Charles Fite (Valice Fite) and Naomi Hampton (Les Ellis) went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2020. She attended Groves Highschool in Paris, TN.
Proceeding her in death are her husband Robert Clyde Williams, siblings Jean Goforth, Charles Fite and Doris Fite Crain. Surviving sibling Jean Fite Sutton.
Jane was married to her “sweetheart” Bob (1951) for 63 years before her great loss. Together they had 4 children; Steven (Anna-Maria), Mark (Sandy), Janet (Garner), and Thomas. Her great legacy continuing through her 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Jane and Robert were members of Decatur Trinity Christian Church. She took pride in serving in International mission for many years in Zaire (Congo), Botswana and Lesotho.
Jane loved people to a depth that could only come from God. She was passionate about sports, particularly tennis; which she could watch for hours, requesting minimal interruption from anyone around her! She was beautiful, sassy, sweet and funny.
Jane will be missed sorely but the assurance of her journey forward allows us “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.
