Ademola Kayode Thomas, 36, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on December 22, 2023. He was born on April 21, 1987, in Memphis, Tennessee. Ademola, known to many as an amazing soul, embraced life with a generous spirit. Ademola was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.
Ademola discovered solace on the open roads, steering 18-wheelers with skill and dedication. Whether navigating the highways or facing the unknown, his courage shone through. In his moments of respite, he cherished the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with loved ones, savoring a good meal, traveling, or watching his Minnesota Vikings. His love for life was contagious and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and genuine love for people.
Ademola’s infectious joy and genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He had an innate ability to bring laughter to any room and a warmth that made him a friend to all. His dedication to helping others extended beyond his personal and professional life, leaving a lasting impact on the people he touched.
Ademola is survived by his loving parents, Dehinde and Jacqueline Thomas, his second mother, Venetta Draper Oakley, brothers, Kunle, Leye, and Chris, sisters, Adetola Akinseye and Folake Thomas, nieces and nephews, Grant, Zhuri, Dexter, Callie, and Ayden. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who loved him.
A memorial service to celebrate Ademola’s life will be held on January 5, 2023, at 2 pm. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring his memory.
