

Angela Carol Flippen, 20, passed away June 28, 2017. She graduated from Gateway Christian School in 2015 and received her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate in 2016, she loved caring for the elderly and considered it to be her life’s calling, along with being a mother, which she became in 2016. In addition to being a loving mother, she was a writer, movie buff and loved music and dance. She was a free spirit that went the extra mile for other people. Angela always rooted for the underdog. She especially had a passion and heart for the “least of these”. (Matthew 25:40)
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry Earl Leath.
She is survived by her daughter, Eliana Rose Flippen; her parents, Dale and Cindy Flippen; her soulmate, Jake Flowers; sister, Kelsey Flippen; brother, Tyler Flippen; grandmothers, Gloria Leath and Bernice Bolton; grandfather, Sam Eaves, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established for the benefit of Angela’s 10 month old daughter, Eliana Rose Flippen, at First South Financial Credit Union, 6445 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134.
