Arlyn Wayne Evans

Arlyn Wayne Evans, 98, of Bartlett, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, graduated from Oregon State with a degree in Plant Pathology and worked for DuPont for 35 years in the Agricultural Chemical Division. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Cecelia E. Evans and is survived by three daughters, Arlys Lassetter of Rockmart, GA, Eileen E. (Frank) Civera of Bartlett and Rae D. (Ray) Miller of Marietta, GA. He also leaves a grandson, Justin Lee (Lindsey) Smith of Murphreesboro, TN; great grandson, Nolan Smith and a niece, Gloria Kennedy of Mosier, OR. A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. A short visitation will begin at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial gifts be made to the Methodist Hospice Residence.
