Barney Whitt Doss, 81, of Nesbit, MS. Passed away on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015. He was preceded in death by three children Terry and Kenny Doss and Becky Wilson and four siblings. He survived by, his wife Daisy Fox Wood Doss, children Cathy Lucius (Wayne), Angie Richardson (Jim), Mark Wood (Kathy), Sheryl McKee, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two brothers Joe Lee and Roger Doss and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Doss served proudly in the U.S. Army and later became very involved with the local VFW. He also was involved with the Al Chymia Shriners not to mention he was a big Ole Miss fan. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5-7pm on Friday, December 11 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The funeral will be on Saturday at 10am also at the funeral home.
