Betty Joe Latham Chaney, 78, a resident of Memphis since 1960, passed away July 27, 2011. Betty was the 5th of 6th children of Dora Grayum and James Arthur Latham of Bernie, MO. She graduated from Bernie High School in 1950. While working at Malden Air Base she met and married Ezra Gail Chaney of Clarkton, MO in 1955, he passed away November 7, 1984.Betty is survived by three children, Teresa Gail “Toni” Chaney, Tracy Kemp Chaney, James Arthur Chaney; grandchild Jada and three siblings, Yula L. Brown and Robert James Latham of St. Louis, MO and William Latham of Bernie, MO. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 31 at 2 p.m. at Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, MO.
