Hillard Wayne (Bill) Carpenter, 80, of Bartlett, passed away on Wednesday 1/20/16. He was the owner of Bill Carpenter Paint Company, a U.S. Navy veteran, Mason, a member of Ellendale Baptist Church and attended Bartlett Baptist Church. Mr. Carpenter is survived by his dear wife of 57 years, Ann L. Carpenter; three daughters, Kim Moore of Cordova, Annette Henderson of Destin, FL and Angie (Gene) Logan of Oxford, MS; four sisters, Eleanor Hudson of Branson, MO, Mildred Gourley of Oakland, TN, Opal Oliver and Helen White, both of Danville, AL; one brother, Dale Carpenter of Rossville; four grandchildren, Chase and Madison Garrett, Fletcher and Drake Logan and one great granddaughter, Shelby McCulley. He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Dawn McCulley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 24 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
