Brenda Joyce Stonebraker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on September 20, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, and later made Jacksonville, Florida, her home.
Brenda was the loving widow of Jim Stonebraker and a devoted mother to her son, Billy Lamberth. She was a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to her four great-grandchildren. Her family meant so much to her, and she cherished the special moments and memories they shared.
Brenda had a wonderfully creative mind and was always finding ways to make things special. She learned the art of making custom window treatments from her mother, Patricia Lewis, carrying on a creative talent that became one of the many things that made her unique.
Brenda loved shopping, fishing, staying busy, and experiencing all the joys that life had to offer. She had a festive spirit and never missed an opportunity to celebrate. She especially loved her jewelry and could often be found wearing something that matched whatever holiday or occasion was being celebrated. Whether it was Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, or another special day, Brenda found a way to make it fun and colorful.
She is survived by her son, Billy Lamberth; her grandchildren, Taryn, Chris, Corey, Casey, and Gavin; four great-grandchildren Riley, Damien, Palmer, and Haizley; her sisters, Vickie Carwell and Tina Hines; brother in law Jerry Hines; her unwavering best friend of 55 years, Linda Fletcher and her beloved dogs Chevy and Lolli.
Brenda will be remembered for her creativity, her love of life, her festive spirit, and most of all, the love she had for her family. She brought her own special sparkle to the lives of those around her and left behind countless memories that will be treasured forever.
Though she may no longer be here to celebrate life’s holidays with us, we will always think of Brenda when we see something colorful, festive, beautiful, or just a little bit extra—because that was Brenda.
Her love, her laughter, and her unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
