Our beautiful Brittany. She is everything. Her dad and I could never have dreamed of a more perfect daughter. Brittany was faithful to the Lord, to her morals and values, she was loyal, honest and a beautiful woman of amazing character. Brittany lit up every room she was in. Her smile and laugh were contagious. She was so quick witted, even in her last days. Britt was always making sure everyone else was doing okay, and that they had a good day. She loved so big. We always taught her to love and treat others like you would want to be treated and loved. Anyone who knew her, knew how much she loved music, she loved to dance and sing. She was such an amazing artist. Brittany would sit for hours drawing and creating her next tattoo.
Brittany was a fighter....a warrior.... a hero! She lived a beautiful, fun, life. She worked hard, was in college to become a cardiac nurse, loved going to the gym and loved spending time with her family and friends. She never backed down, from anything. She fought and she fought hard, overcoming more than anyone I know could ever think of overcoming. However her body was tired. God didn’t want her to be tired any longer. Her last words were spoken on Friday afternoon, she told me “don’t worry momma, it’s almost over” then she went to sleep.
I have been told by so many people that Brittany has taught them how to be more resilient, how to love more deeply, live life to the fullest, to spend more time with the people you live, how to fight harder and how to not give up, how unimportant some things are, and exposed more people to the music of Panic at the Disco (y’all know I’m right). In the past 5 months of her being in the hospital, she has developed new friendships, rekindled old friendships and made existing friendships and relationships stronger. Our baby girl is and always will be the most amazing soul. She deserves the world and now she has the ultimate blessing of sitting at the feet of Jesus.
A graveside service for Brittany will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
