

James Burl McClain, Sr. 76 of Tunica, MS, formerly of Memphis, TN passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Southaven, MS. Mr. McClain was self-employed in battery sales and also worked for Memphis Furniture Company. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wylodean McClain and his father, Jessie B. McClain, as well as two brothers, Edward B. McClain and David McClain, and one sister, Lynn Henderson. Mr. McClain is survived by three sons, James B. McClain, Jr. (Debra) of Nesbit, MS, Mike McClain (Sherri) of Tupelo, MS, and Mark McClain (Shawn) of Memphis, TN. He also leaves behind two sisters, Sarah McCarver (Bob) of Memphis, TN, and Julia Lassiter of Collierville, TN, as well as six grandchildren, Trey McClain (Jessica) of Olive Branch, MS, Jesse McClain (Whitney) of Memphis, TN, Mark McClain, Jr. of Southaven, MS, Matthew McClain of Bartlett, TN, Travis McClain of Burleson, TX, and Colton Yelverton of Detroit, MI, and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Jacob McClain of Olive Branch, MS. He also leaves to cherish his memory, many nieces and nephews who were very special to him. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 12-2pm with the funeral service to follow at 2pm, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
