"Captain C R “Skip” Creamer, III, 76, of Memphis, TN, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016 from heart complications. Skip was born in Memphis on June 14, 1939 to the late Charles R Creamer, Jr. and Delia (Wenzler) Creamer. He graduated from Southside High School Class of 1957 and immediately began his life of service After a 4 year enlistment with the US Navy, he joined the Memphis Police Department in 1961 and retired in 1996 after 35 years of faithful service. At the time of his passing, Skip worked as the Chief of Security for Independent Presbyterian Church. Skip is survived by the love of his life,Nancy Creamer, his wife of 52 years; his son, Chuck Creamer (Michelle); two grandchildren, Jordan Woodhouse (Cyle) and Seth Creamer; and numerous nieces and nephews that were dearly loved. The family requests any memorials be made to Crossroads Baptist Church (6601 Austin Peay Hwy, Arlington, TN 38002) or the charity of your choice. "
