Catherine Taylor Sexton of Bartlett, TN passed away on May 31. She was 95. She was the loving wife of the late David Sexton. She formerly served as the Executive Director of Memphis City Beautiful Commission in the 1960s and 1970s. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, exercising, music, and playing the organ. She was a very independent woman who enjoyed learning and trying new things; while in her 80s, she learned to use a computer to send emails to family. She was a loving mother and will be missed by her children: Clifton Taylor (Linda), Gene Taylor (Emily), Dorothy Bowden (David), and Paula Davidson (Dennis). She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 3 from 12-2pm followed by a funeral service at 2pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN.
