Catherine was born in Morrolton, Ark. on December 19,1933. She graduated from Treadwell High School. She later got an Associate Degree in Data Processing Technology and Business. She went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
She loved ballroom dancing and traveling. She was involved in many associations, including The American’s Business Women’s Association. They awarded her with “Woman of the Year” in 1996. Two years later, she retired from First Tennessee Bank. After retirement, she learned how to play the piano and also took art classes to learn how to paint.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. Stark; both of her sons, Jeffrey P. Schrock and William L. Schrock; her parents and her brother.
She was survived by her daughter, Paula Sherrod (Patrick); her stepson, Dickie Stark (Dunnia); her 6 grandchildren: Alex Schrock, Wesley Sherrod (Kimberly), Amber Sherrod Smith, Kara Sherrod, Stephanie Stark Cleck (Jonathan), and Erin Stark; 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Visitation with Food and Fellowship will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, US, on August 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
