Cecilia, an only child, was born August 24, 1946 to Bernice and Joseph Griffin in Memphis, Tn. She was a homemaker and also worked alongside her husband, Doug, in the family farming business. Cecilia had a strong love and interest in reading. She especially enjoyed her trips to the library with her grandsons Will and Alan. She enjoyed and received pleasure in watching old classic movies.
Cecilia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Above all else, Cecilia loved her family deeply. She shared a solid marriage with the love of her life, Douglas E. Percer, with a steady example of partnership and devotion across 62 years. Cecilia will be remembered most of all for her warm heart, strong faith and the love for family she treasured so deeply.
Cecilia’s Christian faith as a believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour was a constant source of strength, courage and comfort in her life.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Alan Percer; and her mother, Bernice Goodwin.
Cecilia is survived by her husband, Douglas E. Percer; daughter, Melissa Wiles of Piperton, Tn.; grandsons, Will Wiles and Alan Wiles of Somerville, Tn.; sister-in-law, Rita Percer; nephew, Paul Percer; nieces, Amy Colombey, Sherri Simmers and Janice Percer.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 23rd 2026, 9:00 am until service time at 10:00 am, with burial taking place immediately following Service at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
