Charles Raymond “Dooney” Sage. Charlie was born in Memphis on January 20, 1943. He passed away with his family at his side on Sunday, November 2, 2014. Charlie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anne Sage, Children, Charlie Sage Jr. (Kim), Robby Sage (former wife Cari),and Leigh Ann Montesi (Paul). He was a proud grandfather to 7 granddaughters, Caroline and Courtney Sage, Carah Anne and Preslee Belle Sage, Sloane, Makensie and Laurel Montesi, one great-granddaughter, Madeline Gindt, sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Howard Roy and many nieces and nephews. He retired in 2006 after 47 years from The Memphis Publishing Company (The Commercial Appeal) as District Manager over the Circulation Department. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the food bank in Charlie’s Memory. The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett and also all family and friends. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, November 5th from 12-2pm and a graveside service at 2pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
