Chastene Hughey

M. Chastene McAlister Hughey, 87, of Memphis, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014. She retired from Crye-Leike Realty with over 28 years of service as a realtor and was a member of the distinguished Multi-Million Dollar Club. She was also active in her Sunday School class at Faith Baptist Church where she was a member. Ms Hughey is survived by two daughters, T. Denise Nall of Bartlett and Karen K. Forrest of Memphis; a son, Andy (Dana) Hughey of Bartlett; three sisters, Earline Presley of Fulton, MS, Debbie Dunavant of Memphis and Orene Selander of Greeley, CO; six grandchildren, Ian (Linda) Moss, Jeremy (Brandy) Moss, Garrett Forrest, Haley Forrest, Ashley Hughey and Drew Hughey and eight great grandchildren, Stephen Moss, Katelyn Moss, Savannah Moss, Joshua Moss and Jack Moss, Nevaeh Harvey, Jade Forrest and Michael Harris. She was preceded in death by Melvin A. Hughey; a brother, Edward McAlister; and three sisters, Pauline Walton, Lurene Richardson and Geraldine Spencer. The family will receive friends this afternoon, Sunday, August 10 from 4-6 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
