Christopher Louis Woods "Chris"

Christopher Louis Woods “Chris”, of Fayette County, TN , an amazing son, brother, grandson, and friend, was born on January 13, 2005, and died tragically in an ATV accident on May 27, 2017, this past weekend in Heber Springs, Arkansas at the young age of 12. Christopher is survived by his parents Jon and Stephanie Masserano-Woods; his sister Zoe Marie Woods; his grandparents Chris and Carol Woods and Louis and Gail Masserano. He also leaves an aunt Jennifer and uncle Grant Mills, and their children; Kendal and Dillon Mills; his aunt Bethany and uncle Justin Woods; and their children Jacob, Collin, and Mason, and many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Boots. Christopher had just completed his 6th grade year at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School. He played Purple Wave football and had dreams of attending Christian Brothers High School and Auburn University. Christopher lived his life to the fullest; he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, snow skiing, and water sports “he was an All American boy.” He also loved to volunteer at the soup kitchens, and give back to those who were less fortunate. Christopher was outgoing, big hearted, strong, and made friends everywhere he went including adults. He truly cherished the ones he loved.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm, on Thursday, June 1, 2017, with a vigil service at 7pm, at St. Francis of Assisi Church. The funeral mass will be at 10am, Friday, June 2, 2017, also at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are sent to St. Mary’s Soup Kitchen, 155 Market St Memphis, TN 38105 or the ASPCA.org.
