Clarence Edward Stewart, 75 of Cherokee Village formerly of Memphis passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at his home. He was a retired heavy machine operator for the City of Memphis, he was a pilot, a member of Cherokee Village First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, was a 32nd degree mason where he was the past master of the Summer Avenue Lodge and was a volunteer for the Shelby County Sheriffs Office Senior Services Squad. Survived by his wife of 9 years, Sara M. Stewart of the home; five sons, James Edward Stewart, Robert Paul Stewart, Richard Wayne Stewart, Michael Darnell Stewart and Danny Stewart all of Memphis; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN.
