Connie Savely passed away peacefully on June 14th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend—cherished for her kind spirit and the deep affection she showed to everyone around her.
Connie had a heart full of love and a life filled with purpose. She was an avid collector, a passionate music lover, and a constant source of warmth and generosity. She was also an outstanding Southern cook, known for bringing people together with her home-cooked meals, always made with love. Whether it was a holiday gathering or a Sunday supper, her table was a place of comfort, laughter, and unforgettable flavors.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Lori (Jimmy) Meggs of Arlington, TN; her son, Timothy (Nicole) Savely of Carthage, NC; her grandson, Johnathan Meggs; and three precious granddaughters, Zaida, Willa, and Hazel Savely. She also leaves behind her nieces, Michelle Garth and Candice Rose, along with many more beloved nieces and nephews. Connie’s memory will also be carried on by her sister-in-law, Nancy (Paul B.) Floyd of New Albany, MS, and her brother-in-law, Jack (Sandra) Savely of Pontotoc, MS.
Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Paul Timothy Savely; her parents, Zayda and Bill Arnold; her sisters, Sandra J. Garth and Billie A. Ray; and her brother, Jackie N. Arnold.
A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS, Connie also dedicated her time and heart as a member of the Eastern Star and a proud Shrinette. She lived a life of quiet devotion—to her faith, her family, and her community.
